The board heard a brief presentation from eighth-grade WEB leaders (Where Everyone Belongs) about their role welcoming incoming sixth graders and supporting transition activities.
Students described their training and activities: one student said WEB "helped me feel more comfortable" on the first day of middle school, and another described helping new students with lockers and orientation. The students said they assist with advisory activities and will lead tours and support when fifth graders visit on May 8.
The faculty sponsor noted the program has run for several years and involves roughly 45 leaders annually. Board members praised the students for their leadership and wished them well on their continuing leadership journeys.
The presentation was received as an informational item; no board action was required.
