National Library Week runs April 19–25, Parks said, with staff recognition and age‑group programming across the library’s four branches. She said the system has about 47 staff members and a larger staff presence at the main branch.
Parks announced a Blackbeard presentation by Robert Jacobs at the main branch on April 19 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; no preregistration is required. She also said a local author showcase will be held April 12 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., featuring roughly a dozen authors.
Parks told listeners that physical copies of the spring newsletter and program calendars are available at branches and that digital calendars and program listings are posted at onslowcountync.gov/library, with additional updates on library social media channels.
