Summary
The Onslow County Public Library will hold Comic Book Fest on Saturday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library's Jacksonville main branch. Organizers said the fourth annual event will feature artists, vendors, cosplayers and food trucks and may outgrow the facility next year.
Jennifer Mello, a representative of the Onslow County Public Library, said the library will host Comic Book Fest on Saturday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the main branch in Jacksonville. "Comic Book Fest is gonna be on Saturday, May 16 from 11AM to 3PM, and we're hosting this, of course, at the Onslow County Public Library in Jacksonville," Mello said.
Mello described the festival as family friendly and broad in appeal: "There's gonna be local vendors. We're gonna also have cosplayers, and there's gonna be food trucks. So we'll have food available all day." She said the lineup will include local artists and some traveling guests.
The event is in its fourth year at the library. Mello said organizers are already considering a larger off‑site venue after this year: "We pretty much think after this year, we're gonna outgrow the library site and have to go off‑site." She directed listeners to the library website and the library's Facebook and Instagram event page for updates and details.
The library encouraged families to attend in costume or casual dress and to check social media or the library site for any schedule or guest updates ahead of the May 16 festival.
