Colorado House floor receives committee reports, refers and postpones bills; session adjourns to March 30

At a floor session of the Colorado House, the presiding officer called the chamber to order and the Clerk reported a series of committee recommendations that advanced, reassigned, or postponed a number of bills.
The Clerk reported that the Committee on Business Affairs and Labor recommended an amendment to House Bill 1263 and that the amended bill be referred to the Committee of the Whole with a favorable recommendation; the committee also recommended House Bills 1190 and 1261 be postponed indefinitely. The Committee on Education recommended amending Senate Bill 126 and referred it to the Committee of the Whole with a favorable recommendation; the committee also recommended House Bill 1231 be postponed indefinitely. The Committee on Finance recommended that House Bills 1111 (as amended) and 1132 (as amended) be referred to the Committee on Appropriations with favorable recommendations. The Committee on State, Civic, Military, and Veterans Affairs recommended referring Senate Bills 47, 87, and 120 to the Committee of the Whole with favorable recommendations.
On introductions, the Clerk announced new filings and committee assignments: House Bill 1341, sponsored by Representative Johnson and Senator Pelton R., concerning a modification to the service period for allocation of the Colorado Agricultural Development Authority's portion of the private activity bond state ceiling, was assigned to the Committees on Agriculture, Water and Natural Resources and Finance. House Bill 1342, by Representatives Stuart K. and Lukens and Senator Marchman, addressing negligent behavior that lures bears, was assigned to the Committee on Agriculture, Water and Natural Resources. House Bill 1343, by Representatives Morrow and Clifford, proposing expanded use of electronic processes and filings in competency determinations and related administrative proceedings, was assigned to the Committee on Health and Human Services.
The Clerk also announced House Resolution 1003, by Representatives Joseph and Soper concerning recognition of environmental initiatives, will be laid over one day under House rules. The presiding officer noted that the signing of bills, resolutions and memorials and messages from the Senate, the reviser, and the governor will be printed in the House journal.
"The House will come back to order," the presiding officer said at the start of the session. Later, after the motion to adjourn, the presiding officer announced, "The House is adjourned until Monday, March 30 at 10AM." The Majority Leader moved the adjournment; the motion was entered into the record.
No roll-call votes on the listed committee recommendations were recorded in the transcript; the session record shows committee recommendations and referrals and the motion to adjourn. The next floor meeting was scheduled as stated by the presiding officer.
