Tenuzis noted the family’s presence in the chamber and that a foundation in Allis’s honor has been established in his hometown. Mister Riley added remarks on Allis’s local impact in Staten Island, noting a statue at his alma mater and community events commemorating his service.
The clerk called the question and members endorsed the resolution by voice vote. The chamber extended condolences to the family and welcomed them to the floor.
