Board accepts paraprofessional resignation and approves several hires

District Administrator Dr. Aslan then presented personnel recommendations: the board approved the resignation of Abby Johnson and later approved the following hirings as recommended — Tanya Heughan, part-time Spooner Elementary administrative assistant; Carrie Anderson, high school food service; Emily Hackman, elementary food service; Cassie Beyer, full-time special-education paraprofessional at the elementary school; Jessica Colburn, part-time elementary special-education paraprofessional; and Logan Caduce, middle/high school choir teacher (recommended by Principal Pete Schroeder).
Motions to accept the resignation and to approve the hires were moved and seconded and carried by voice vote. Board members thanked departing staff and welcomed the newly hired employees; one board member said the district attracts strong applicants and expressed appreciation for those joining the district.
