The Williamsville Central School District announced a budget work session scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 at 6 p.m., followed by a community forum at approximately 7 p.m. in the Casey Middle School cafeteria where board members and district staff will engage with stakeholders on budget development.
“We’ll have a budget work session and continue to share budget development information,” the Presenter said, adding that the community forum is an opportunity for board members to engage with stakeholders.
Separately, the Presenter described a student-led spirit week planned March 23 through March 27, led by students and the district’s high advisory council (referred to in the update as SCIAC). Schools will hold a canned food drive to support the Williamsville food pantry and high school bake sales with proceeds going to the American Heart Association.
The district also launched a mascot voting contest called “Mayhem” tied to the NCAA tournament that will run across four rounds; voters can find a bracket link and voting instructions in the district newsletter and on social media.
The Presenter did not specify when budget decisions will be finalized or whether the community forum will produce formal recommendations to the Board.
