Summary
The district asked parents and guardians to complete a Wix survey on the 2026–27 calendar, offering two options: a Sept. 8 start with Dec. 24 winter break, or a Sept. 1 start with a four-day Labor Day weekend and Dec. 23 winter break. The survey closes March 19.
The Presenter for the Williamsville Central School District urged parents and guardians to complete an online survey about the 2026–27 school-year calendar, saying the district posted the questionnaire on its Wix homepage under Notifications and that the survey will close on March 19.
District officials outlined two calendar options. Option 1 would begin Tuesday, Sept. 8, hold Thanksgiving recess in November and begin winter break on Dec. 24. Option 2 would begin Tuesday, Sept. 1, include a four-day Labor Day weekend, schedule Thanksgiving recess from Nov. 25 through Nov. 27, and begin winter break on Dec. 23.
“We appreciate your input as we finalize the calendar,” the Presenter said, encouraging families to visit the district newsletter or the district website for the survey link.
The district did not provide enrollment or operational projections tied to either option during the update, nor did the Presenter state a timeline for when a final calendar decision will be announced.
