City Clerk Brian Ruch presented December figures and fund balances included in the packet: cash receipts of $765,996.19 and cash disbursements of $885,380.61 for the reporting period; combined checking and fund balances reported included General Fund $2,995,819.24; Special Revenue Funds $4,163,806.80; Bond Sinking Funds $1,026,140.86; Water Increment Fund $213,812.29; Adequate Assurance Fund $118,399.50; ARPA Grant $561,495.06; Harbor Development Fund $119,370.01; and Marina Campground Fund $2,187.49.
The minutes also list overtime and part-time pay for December 2024 by department: Ambulance $27,620.25; Fire $7,583.08; Police $16,161.46; Public Works/Cemetery/City Hall $5,920.76. Ambulance operations reports were filed for Beardstown (72 calls; charges $82,998.00; collections $18,945.54; adjustments $21,630.99) and Virginia (27 calls; charges $33,072.00; collections $16,295.59; adjustments $13,452.45). The minutes note disbursements for the period ending Jan. 21, 2025.
A separate voice-vote motion, moved by Dawn Seward and seconded by Mary Davis, approved the minutes of the Jan. 7, 2025 meeting. With routine matters completed, the council later moved to executive session on collective bargaining and reconvened to take further action.
