Beardstown council names temporary chair, adopts ordinance on disposal of city property and OKs City Hall copier lease

At its March 4 meeting the Beardstown City Council named Alderperson Mary Davis temporary chair in the mayor’s absence, adopted an ordinance authorizing disposal of municipally owned personal property and approved a lease and maintenance agreement for a Konica Minolta copier at City Hall. All motions passed unanimously.
The Beardstown City Council convened at 6:07 p.m. March 4 at City Hall and, in the absence of Mayor Tim Harris, named Alderperson Mary Davis temporary chair. Alderperson Chris Baer moved that “Mary Davis be named Chair Temporary Chair in the absence of Mayor Harris,” and Alderperson Keith Schramm seconded; the motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
