Beardstown approves amended three-year contract with IAFF Local 3155

The council approved the contract amendments by roll call and then approved the full agreement as amended, 6-0. The minutes record the contract amendment actions as: (1) change Appendix A to a three-year period (May 1, 2024–April 30, 2027); (2) remove the rate for part-time employees; and (3) remove Appendices B and C.
The council entered executive session earlier in the meeting under Exemption 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2) for collective bargaining; the motion to enter executive session passed 5-1 (No: Alderperson Eric Harbin). The meeting resumed at 7:19 p.m., and the amended agreement was approved on the record.
