Planning staff updated the council on several local development items during the Nov. 10 Committee of the Whole meeting.
Miss Delrose, speaking for the planning department, said a special use for a Gunstein property was approved last Monday and that there are no cases on the November calendar. She said two subdivision re-plats are scheduled in December for the Deerwood Subdivision; each re-plat will combine two lots into one to allow construction of larger homes.
Delrose said site-plan reviews are slowing as the weather changes but that inspections have increased as property owners and developers complete work before winter. She also noted downtown facade grant work is wrapping up and that upcoming Historic Preservation awards will recognize property owners who preserved original materials rather than installing vinyl siding.
The department will return to council with formal cases and plats as required; no council votes were taken on the planning items reported at the meeting.
