Votes at a glance: Forest Park council approves bills, appoints clerk and authorizes TIF study

- Resolution 14-26 (bills): Deputy clerk read aggregated bills by department totaling $633,471.14 (water department $314,519.41, clerk's office $40,878.22, streets and public improvements $31,985.05, among others). Motion to adopt the resolution was moved by Commissioner Maxim and seconded by Commissioner Melon Rogovin; the deputy clerk called the roll and the resolution carried with recorded ayes.
- Ordinance 7-26 (village clerk appointment): The council adopted an ordinance appointing Carla Taylor as village clerk. Motion moved by Commissioner Maxim and seconded by Commissioner Nero; roll call recorded ayes and the ordinance was adopted. Taylor was sworn in at the meeting.
- Resolution 15-26 (Ryan LLC TIF evaluation): Council authorized an agreement with Ryan LLC to evaluate areas near Brown Avenue and Franklin Street for a potential tax-increment financing district. Administrator Antler said the study could take roughly 5 months; motion carried on roll call.
- Senior-trip approval: Council approved a community center senior trip to the Timberlake Playhouse to see Les Misrables; motion moved, seconded and approved by recorded ayes.
