- Purchase of a 2025 Ford F-250 pickup with utility body (not to exceed $61,850). - A contract extension with Crystal Maintenance Plus Corporation for janitorial services (not to exceed $71,520). - A cemetery sexton-services contract with Cemetery Management Inc. (not to exceed $62,700 for FY2026). - A first contract extension for forestry maintenance (not to exceed $125,000). - An amendment to professional engineering services for the Illinois 38 & Technology Boulevard traffic signals project (increase not to exceed $10,000; revised contract $114,950). - Motor fuel tax maintenance estimate for local public agency maintenance (not to exceed $193,000). - 2026 roadway rehabilitation local public agency estimate (not to exceed $1,082,700). - Design and engineering contracts for industrial streets and downtown modernization projects (amounts listed in staff readout), and city museum renovation design services (not to exceed $80,400). - Right-of-way maintenance contract extension (not to exceed $226,158.61).
Public affairs items approved or announced included a proposed funding agreement with the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce to support 2026 Railroad Days (not to exceed $92,000) and a proposed intergovernmental agreement with PACE, the suburban bus division of the Regional Transportation Authority.
Why it matters: The approved contracts cover maintenance, design and capital projects that shape city services, roadwork and downtown improvements. The spending authorizations will affect the 2026 work program and budget allocations.
Details and follow-up: Staff clarified that cemetery lawn maintenance was moved from the cemetery management contract to the right-of-way maintenance contract to consolidate mowing services.
