Development committee recommends four land-use items for full City Council consideration

The Development Committee met and approved the minutes from its Dec. 8 meeting before moving to a consent package of four land-use items recommended to the full City Council.

The committee chair called the meeting to order and, after a clerk-conducted roll call confirmed a quorum, members approved the December minutes. A single motion was then made to recommend four items to the City Council: a resolution approving a plan of resubdivision for 1200 Howard Drive; a resolution approving a plat of subdivision for Lot 1 of Portman Parkway resubdivision; an ordinance to grant a special-use permit for a motor vehicle repair facility at 1827 Woodcock Drive; and an ordinance to amend the zoning map for Parcel 04-08-303-016 on the west side of Fabian Parkway, south of Roosevelt Road, changing the designation from ORI (office, research and light industrial) to M (manufacturing).

The motion to recommend the consent items to the full council was moved and seconded; the clerk conducted a roll call and multiple aldermen voiced "Aye." The chair said the four items will appear on the next City Council meeting agenda for final consideration.
