Trustee Allen and other trustees thanked Chief Orvis and the police department for a dignified ceremony honoring Officer Vicente and expressed condolences to the officer's family. Trustee Allen noted that Senator Hills attended and that the senator presented a moment of silence on the senate floor. The board expressed appreciation for interagency support and offered condolences to colleagues and family members.
The board then moved on to routine business and community announcements, including reminders about the upcoming election and local events.
