The Planning and Zoning Board approved a revised zoning map for the Village of Antioch after a public hearing and brief discussion of recent annexations.
Chair (speaker 1) opened the hearing on PZB 2604 and asked staff to summarize the changes. Staff member (speaker 6) said, “Every year, the village, is required to update their zoning map as per state statute,” and identified the major change as the addition of annexed parcels along North Grand Avenue.
Board members asked for clarifications about parcels and zoning categories, including a public-works parcel and a solar farm on the east side of the village. The village attorney (speaker 7) said the only addition he recalled was the annexation of specific real property that should be included on the map.
After discussion, a committee member (speaker 3) moved to approve the revised zoning map and a committee member (speaker 2) seconded. Clerk (speaker 5) conducted a roll-call vote that recorded affirmative responses from the members listed in the minutes; the motion carried.
The board did not record any amendments to the map during the meeting. Staff did not present additional fee or implementation changes tied to the map at this hearing; implementation questions were left for future review by staff and, if necessary, the board.
The board moved on to other business after approving PZB 2604; the meeting minutes will reflect the map update and the recorded vote.
