The Public Works & Structure Committee on Oct. 13 recommended that the City Council approve the purchase of a cab and chassis for a Public Works dump truck from Rush Truck Center.
Jamie Clark told the committee that council approved ordering a cab and chassis in February for $113,998. Clark said the delivered unit arrived with an invoice he described as higher — he noted the invoice was about $2,000 more than the February approval and attributed the increase to raw materials tariffs.
Alderman Lockett moved to recommend the City Council approve the purchase of the chassis for a Public Works dump truck from Rush Truck Center in the amount of $115,998; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote with no opposition recorded.
Staff did not provide additional contract details at the committee meeting; the item will be presented to the City Council for final action.
