The Palm Beach County Commission voted unanimously to approve a development order amendment for Crossbridge Church that will combine existing facilities on the church campus and allow an expanded civic pod to include a private elementary school and a general daycare.
Staff described the proposal as consolidating aging buildings into a single, approximately 60,000‑square‑foot facility with classroom and daycare space and traffic and stacking improvements for safe drop‑off. Applicant representative Brian Terry said the project grew from two congregations and would be open to the broader community, not limited to congregants. Terry told commissioners the applicants had worked with staff for months and secured unanimous recommendation from the county zoning commission.
Commissioner Sachs, whose district includes the site, asked clarifying questions about years of operation and whether expanded services would be available to non‑members; the applicant confirmed the childcare and educational services would be open to community residents. Commissioner Sachs moved to adopt a resolution approving the three parts of the application (3a, 3b and 3c); Commissioner Flores seconded and the motion carried 7–0.
The resolution authorizes the zoning changes and the development order amendment as conditioned by staff; no appeals or conditions were announced during the hearing.
The board moved on after the unanimous vote.
