Burr Ridge trustees approve consent agenda, award $3.356 million water-main contract

Burr Ridge Mayor Grasso and the village board approved an omnibus consent agenda on Aug. 11 that included the award of the 2025 water-main replacements contract to Trine Construction Corp. of St. Charles for $3,355,985.

The board heard brief public remarks before the vote from Mary Bradley, who told trustees she has lived on her street 25 years and that nearly every house there had experienced two or three water-main breaks. "We are ready to have them fixed," Bradley said, urging the board to approve the contract.

Mayor Grasso read the items on the consent agenda, which also included ordinances and zoning matters, an employment contract with International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 for public works, the fiscal-year 2026 first-quarter budget amendments and vendor lists. The packet noted vendor-list totals of $906,815.51 (vendor list dated 07/28/2025) plus payroll and a separate vendor list for 08/11/2025 totaling $391,304.63, with combined payroll and funds yielding the grand totals read into the record.

After a motion and second, the board took an omnibus roll-call vote; the clerk recorded the motion as passed. The contract award for the water-main replacements was listed on the consent agenda and approved as part of that omnibus vote.
