A Friends of the Fourth representative and volunteers asked for creative volunteers and donations to support the events. The mayor noted Friends of the Fourth will post volunteer and donation opportunities on social media.
The council also announced selected vendors for the pop-up market at Leon Schmidt Park: DM Design and Dandelion Atelier were drawn as the first hut occupants for the Oct. 25 soft opening (1–4 p.m.); Bridal Bling Crystals and Crystal Candles and London Sky were listed among vendors for the Nov. 1 opening (9 a.m.–1 p.m.). Council later approved a change order to Geneva Construction for additional sidewalk work to support the pop-up market at Leon Schmidt Heritage Park.
The proclamation and market announcements were largely ceremonial and promotional; volunteers and residents were encouraged to sign up and participate.
