The City of Warrenville council moved and passed the meeting agenda and the consent agenda on Dec. 1. The consent agenda included multiple items (a–l): code amendment related to repossession and relocation of vehicles; first readings of the 2025 property tax levy and an ordinance abating 2025 debt service payments for 2023 general obligation debt; acceptance of a contract renewal with Arthur J. Gallagher for city insurance coverages for 2026 in the amount of $593,654; approval of an agreement with Christine Sharkiewicz for legal services; authorization to solicit donations for 2026 police events; and the receipt and filing of several commission minutes and reports of invoices and wire transfers.
Following consent, the council accepted the Public Safety and Finance Committee recommendation to waive competitive bidding and pass Resolution R2025-71 to lease one pickup truck through the Enterprise fleet management program. The motion was moved and seconded and approved by roll call.
Roll-call motions to approve the agenda, minutes and the consent agenda were recorded on the public record and the mayor declared the motions carried. The council did not debate each consent item individually during the meeting; items were passed as presented in the packet.
