Warrenville council approves routine contracts, funding requests and IGAs

- Cathodic protection for water towers: Council directed staff to present a contract with Corp Pro Companies Inc. to install internal cathodic protection on two water towers (estimated roughly $50,000 total) to reduce corrosion and prolong tower life.
- Sidewalk trip-hazard repairs: Capital maintenance superintendent Clark described a SafeStep survey that found 417 hazards in a limited Summer Lakes area; council directed staff to present a SafeStep contract through the TIPS cooperative for $45,324.53.
- Funding and sponsorship direction: The council directed staff to present a $500 Operation Safe Celebration sponsorship request at the next meeting and to include an additional $10,000 in the FY27 hotel tax fund budget for the Warrenville Friends of the Fourth Committee. The council also directed staff to present a $15,000 funding request for the DuPage Senior Citizens Council at the next meeting.
- Procurement and change order authorizations: Council authorized advertising for bid lettings for 2026 construction projects and directed staff to present a change order (increase of $8,250) for Maguire Iron Inc. to correct a pipe-diameter pricing discrepancy in a water-tower riser replacement contract.
