The Hampshire Village Board handled two personnel items related to the Business Development Commission (BDC).
Chair announced that Liz Martin resigned from the BDC and the board asked founding member David Pizzolatto to serve as chair; Pizzolatto was nominated in absentia and trustees moved and approved his appointment to serve through the remainder of the term.
The board then considered Christopher Garcia for appointment to the BDC. Garcia introduced himself, saying he works for the Chamberlain Group managing pricing and that he is a doctoral student in business administration with volunteer experience. Trustees moved, seconded and approved Garcia’s appointment; staff said they will provide onboarding materials, FOIA and open-meetings training and the schedule for the commission’s first meeting under the new appointee.
