Trustees said 10 trees were planted, volunteers helped move debris to the burn pile, and local barbecue vendor Damo Barbecue provided lunch.
Trustees discussed making the invasive-removal effort a recurring event and asked residents with volunteer oak saplings to contact the village for future plantings. The board said it will keep residents posted about future work days and a possible holiday bonfire to burn piled debris if local service clubs approve.
