Trustees told residents they are following plans discussed at a West Dundee planning and zoning meeting for a proposed development near Route 72 that could affect parts of Sleepy Hollow.
During the meeting the president noted she and Trustee Thomas attended the West Dundee meeting, where residents asked questions about the proposed project and how it might "uproot the backside of Tartan." Trustee Thomas later reported that many Sleepy Hollow residents attended the West Dundee hearing and raised concerns about traffic patterns and access. "They thought the traffic patterns weren't that bad, but they wouldn't say what time of day they checked them," she said, and said she will gather further information.
Trustees advised residents to raise concerns with the village and to attend future West Dundee hearings. The board did not take any formal action at this meeting but said it would continue to track the proposal and requested that staff notify trustees when further meetings are scheduled so local representatives can attend.
