Fox River Grove board approves consent agenda, waives beer-fest liquor fee and moves to executive session

At its Jan. 6, 2026 meeting the Fox River Grove Village Board approved a consent agenda by roll call vote 4–0. The consent agenda included approval of the Dec. 16, 2025 meeting minutes, accounts payable for Jan. 6, 2026, the Treasurer's Report for November 2025, Ordinance 2026-01 (setting a public hearing for Downtown TIF #3), and a temporary liquor license fee waiver for the Rotary Club of Cary-Grove Beer Fest scheduled for Feb. 28, 2026.

Trustee Andrew Migdal made the motion to approve the consent agenda and Trustee Jennifer Curtiss seconded. The minutes record Trustees Curtiss, Joseph, Knar and Migdal voting "yes". After the consent vote, Trustee Steve Knar moved — and Trustee Curtiss seconded — to adjourn the public meeting at 6:33 p.m. and go into executive session to discuss property purchase and sale, pending and imminent litigation, and personnel. A voice vote was recorded as unanimous among the trustees present.

The minutes also contain a separate entry that records the Village President calling a meeting to order at 7:05 p.m., lists the same trustees as present, and again records a motion by Trustee Knar (seconded by Trustee Migdal) to adjourn at 7:05 p.m. The document does not explain the discrepancy between the 6:30/6:33 p.m. entries and the later 7:05 p.m. entry; the minutes do not include further explanation or a reconvened public record.
