Matt Larson, introduced by the mayor as representing the Illinois Spina Bifida Association, thanked the village and the Windy City Corvettes for 35 years of charitable support tied to the Burr Ridge car show. A Windy City Corvette representative described the club’s long-running charity relationship and identified volunteers who coordinate the event.
Representatives of Community Assisted Rides described their volunteer-driven service that provides rides to residents aged 60 and older for errands and medical appointments. Anas Bridal, treasurer for the Mecca Center, described the MECCA Moves 5K event and said the center selected Brightpoint as this year’s beneficiary; Maggie Slaven of Brightpoint (manager of major giving) described Brightpoint’s programs and thanked the village for support.
Pleasantdale Park District board president Todd Davis and staff member Laurie Murray thanked the village for sponsorship of July 3 and fall‑fest events and noted the Park District’s expanded children’s entertainment area. Mike Monday, chair of the Veterans Memorial Committee, reminded attendees of the May 16 Armed Forces Day event and thanked village staff and volunteers.
Trustees posed for a group photo with honorees and expressed gratitude for the organizations’ contributions to village life.
