Trustees approve extra class H liquor license to accommodate Bridewell Tavern

Evan Walter explained that the application has been reviewed by the village attorney and staff recommended creating a license slot so the liquor commissioner can consider the license at a later date. The board moved and seconded the ordinance; roll call recorded affirmative votes and the motion passed.
Mayor and trustees commented that the principal involved, Peter Berdy, is optimistic about a tentative March soft opening for friends and family and that license processing and attorney review are complete enough to permit the authorization of an additional license slot.
Next steps: the liquor commissioner will process the Bridewell Tavern application under the new license allocation and staff will coordinate necessary inspections and approvals.
