Summary
Trustees approved a resolution Jan. 12 to declare three parcels (Lot 37, Lot 38 and part of Lot 39) surplus to enable a purchase-and-sale agreement process with a buyer referred to as Goddard; the village said it will retain the Veterans Memorial and pursue cross-access easements.

The Burr Ridge Board of Trustees voted Jan. 12 to declare certain village-owned parcels surplus to support a pending purchase-and-sale agreement with a buyer identified in staff comments as Goddard. Village staff said the declaration updates parcel lines and is a procedural step that allows the village to advertise the sale and return later with a formal PSA for adoption.
Village Manager Evan Walter told trustees the PSA is nearly complete but is conditioned on entitlement steps that include a plan-commission special-use review for the buyer’s intended day-care use. Walter said three parcels are in the exhibit described in the meeting packet — Lot 37, Lot 38 and part of Lot 39 — and that the village will retain ownership of the Veterans Memorial and work on cross-access easements to preserve parking and circulation.
The resolution was moved and seconded and passed by roll call; after a remote participant reconnected, trustees recorded the returning member’s affirmative vote, making the official tally 5–0. Walter thanked staff and consultants for work on the parcel mapping and legal review.
Next steps: staff will advertise the parcels as required, complete the PSA process and return to trustees with the finalized contract and any required zoning or entitlement steps.
