The Zion City Council approved its consent agenda and a set of routine matters on Nov. 5, including minutes from Oct. 15 and bills and vouchers the finance report listed at $2,144,346.72.
The council confirmed minutes (regular and select closed-session approval) and then approved bills presented by finance staff. Commissioner Frierson moved to approve the consent agenda and minutes; Commissioner McDowell seconded and the clerk recorded unanimous “Aye” votes.
On separate agenda items the council approved a license agreement authorizing Dryers Auto Service Inc. to use city‑owned property for temporary parking and authorized the annual maintenance contract for monitored defibrillators with BIOTRON Inc. City staff said BIOTRON has handled monitored cardiac systems for several years and recommended renewal. Commissioner Fisher moved and Commissioner McDowell seconded the motions; roll call votes were recorded as “Aye” and motions carried.
Council members did not add amendments to these routine items during discussion. The approvals allow staff to execute contracts and proceed with regular procurement and service arrangements.
