Resident urges impact study of CarMax‑related truck traffic, citing safety concerns on Edwards Road

"We have a traffic problem out in Newport Township and Antioch Township," Shea said, describing tractor‑trailers and car carriers using local roads to avoid weight limits. She told the board she had collected a neighborhood petition (65 signatures) and asked whether the village had performed an impact study related to CarMax operations near Edwards Road and Crawford, saying she did not know any such study had been done.
Shea said local roads are in poor condition and that children play in the area; she urged trustees to consider the safety and maintenance consequences and offered to help organize neighbors and provide documentation.
The chair invited Shea to leave materials with the clerk for the official record. The board did not take immediate action but acknowledged the concern and the offer to file supporting materials.
