The board approved a resolution approving the final plat for Neighborhood W and an amended final plat for a separate subdivision after hearing from a developer representative.
Mr. Olson, the developer’s representative, told the trustees the plans had been submitted concurrently to the village and Kane County and that an earlier intergovernmental agreement from 2006 requires dedicating 75 feet from the centerline along the affected roadway (intended to anticipate future widening). Olson said the developer does not object to the dedication and that the change rectifies earlier mapping to align with the 2006 agreement. Trustees asked about street names and marketing; Olson said developers generally prefer flexibility but were cooperative about local naming discussions.
The board moved and approved each plat by roll call. Staff noted two separate motions were required because they are distinct plats and that acceptance of public improvements occurs after required punch-list items are completed and the developer formally offers them for acceptance.
