Staff described a garage behind Clay Bradley’s insurance property on South Market as appropriate to store and charge the city’s ADA‑equipped electric shuttle van. The garage was described as roughly 24 by 30 feet with the correct ceiling height for charging equipment and two bays (one for the van and one for other city use). Staff said the owner, Douglas R. Bradley Revocable Trust, provided a replacement‑cost figure and that the city would pay a purchase price tied to that estimate; staff noted the purchase price amounts are calculated as about $43 per square foot (replacement-cost basis) and that no additional purchase of the underlying land is required.
Council approved ordinance 4010 authorizing purchase of PIN 0719102009 using HUB TIF funds. Staff said using HUB TIF funds would avoid an impact on the general fund and that staff had inspected the building and found it suitable for the van and for running power to the site.
The motion passed on a unanimous roll call.
