S7 said, "It's it's addictive...the withdrawal symptoms...are almost the same withdrawal system as the opioids or heroin." On a motion, the committee voted to instruct the city attorney to prepare an ordinance banning kratom sales within city limits.
What happens next: The SRO intergovernmental agreement will go to full council for final approval and any implementing personnel actions; the city attorney will draft the kratom ordinance for committee/council consideration.
