Riverside City Council adopted four resolutions Monday evening. Council approved a customary $250 donation to Fisher Nightingale House to support its annual Compassionate Care Gala, adopted the city’s quarterly surplus-items list and authorized the purchase of a medic unit that officials said is already budgeted for this year.
Council also approved a final agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to begin pedestrian and other safety improvements at Harshman & Beatrice and Harshman & Valley. A council member asked whether roughly $200,000 of grant or city funds already spent on the project would be lost if the project did not continue; staff confirmed prior expenditures and warned there could be repercussions from ODOT if the city stopped the project.
All resolutions passed by voice vote or roll call as recorded during the meeting. Council indicated the medic purchase is within the existing budget and that staff will proceed with procurement steps.
