The Revere Board of Education approved a number of consent and action items by roll call during the March 17 meeting, consolidating routine business into bundled motions and taking separate votes where required.
Board member Berdine moved to take Roman numeral 8 items 1–5 as one action (minutes, the February financial report, out‑of‑sequence purchase orders, asset deletions and donations). The motion was seconded and, after a roll call, carried with unanimous 'yes' votes from board members. The clerk noted the donations included PTA gifts and a $1,000 donation from the Revere Baseball Softball Association to support the high‑school softball program; a $103.62 donation for a scholarship (net $100 after fees) and other smaller gifts were also acknowledged.
The board also approved personnel resignations, transfers and hires under consent (retirements, internal transfers including teacher reassignments and new hires for secretarial, van driver and substitute positions). These items were presented as consent and passed by unanimous roll call.
Curriculum recommendations (second and final readings) including an intensive needs class were approved, and the board approved a College Credit Plus memorandum of understanding with Walsh University after a motion and second. Several items were taken as first readings with no action, including revised board policies and the student handbook for 2026–27.
Roll calls were recorded by the board clerk; votes in the recorded roll calls were all 'yes' for the motions presented. Where dollar amounts were reported in the meeting, the clerk provided clarifications (for example, the scholarship donation processed through a payment vendor showed $103.62 but the donor intended $100 net of fees).
