The committee also authorized sponsoring a chamber golf team ($300) and an optional higher sponsorship level. All event items carried on voice votes.
Zoning committee approved an addendum to the Gully contract to extend work from the first seven lots at the business park to four additional lots after grant funding became available. Zoning members also accepted a state historic‑preservation covenant required by the grant funding; staff said acceptance of the covenant is necessary to receive approximately $900,000 in grant proceeds for the business park project.
Recreation staff and committee members discussed post‑season pool issues — sand intrusion under concrete decking, aging filter equipment and potential piping repairs — and agreed to seek contractor quotes and further assessment. The Recreation committee approved a Farnsworth time‑and‑materials contract not to exceed $3,500 to prepare plans and specifications required for an OSLAD grant application.
