Trustees representing the adjacent neighborhood cited school pedestrian volumes and crash severity and expressed support for pursuing the study.
Staff proposed budgeting for the project in the FY27 budget while awaiting the study’s results and asked for board feedback to continue formalizing cost estimates. The board did not vote to obligate funds at the meeting, but several trustees supported moving the study forward and building the estimate into next year’s budget.
