Mayor Charlie Whitty read a formal proclamation declaring March 2026 Girl Scout Week in Lebanon, highlighting the organization’s leadership programs and community service. Miranda Wright, a co‑leader of Troop 283, described the bronze, silver and gold awards, introduced three scouts who had earned awards, and summarized their projects: Charlotte Kaufman created marketing signage to boost cookie booth sales; Leslie Grubner made sensory items for special education classrooms; and Natalie Kaufman refurbished crossing guard shelters and produced safety handouts for students and adults.
