The Somerset School Board approved several routine and procedural items during its March 16 meeting.
Early in the meeting the board approved an amendment to the agenda, removing item 3 (Spark Spotlight). The motion to approve the amended agenda was made from the floor, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Later, the board approved two items presented under 'items for approval': a shared-service contract (CSA) for 2026–27 and a change to the regular-board meeting calendar, moving the April 20 meeting to April 27 so newly sworn‑in board members can participate. A motion to approve both items was made and seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote.
The consent agenda was presented, motioned and seconded; it passed without items being pulled for separate discussion. Board members offered a few district celebration items (awards, sports) and administrative reminders, and then the board adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
Formal recorded votes were by voice and recorded on the transcript as unanimous 'Aye' for the motions taken during the meeting; no roll-call tallies with named yes/no votes were recorded in the transcript.
