Statesboro approves CDBG application to target infrastructure in older neighborhoods

Council members asked whether the work was duplicative of existing projects; staff answered that the proposed work is new and suitable for CDBG funding. With no public speakers for or against the application, the council closed the hearing, moved to approve Resolution 2026-10 and recorded a voice vote of 'Aye.' Staff said it will proceed with submission and required follow-up paperwork.
