Pasco joins regional $30M radio upgrade and begins national reporting rollout

On data and reporting, the chief said the department is implementing NERIS, a new national reporting standard for fire and EMS that the chief described as a major staff-time lift; he estimated it will take about a year to iron out integration with other technology.
The chief framed both initiatives as regional efforts that will improve operations and interoperability; he did not present formal contract approvals for council action during the briefing.
