Mill Creek council approves City Hall renovation funding, park design amendment and closes out pavement contract

Mill Creek’s City Council moved through three business items at a special meeting on March 31, approving an ordinance to add funds to the City Hall North renovation, a resolution to amend a park design contract, and a resolution to finalize and close out a pavement contract.
City engineer Dan Caridi told the council the fifth amendment to the capital improvement plan restores the City Hall North renovation project to the program because a contractor is in place to do roof repairs. "This raises the facility's total to approximately $15,000,000," Caridi said, and staff identified a $499,550 grant to cover part of the $699,757 insertion; the balance will come from the City Hall North property fund. Mayor Pro Tem Leah moved to adopt the ordinance; the motion passed 6-0.
