Felicia Over Camaron, associate curator at the Lacey Museum, opened the evening's program by announcing ongoing museum offerings and an upcoming oral-history workshop. She said the museum's Creativity Corner is running during museum hours (Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.) with a seasonal craft; the museum also scheduled "Sharing Our Food Stories," an oral-history workshop on April 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. that will be held at the Lacey Museum site in partnership with Window Seat Media.
Over Camaron asked in-person attendees to sign the attendance sheet after the presentation and noted the sign-in form can also be used to subscribe to the museum newsletter. She emphasized that space for the April workshop is limited and registration is required. Over Camaron also previewed the museum's next history talk in April, featuring author Janine Gates on the Nisqually Delta.
The announcements were delivered before historian Drew Crooks' main lecture on Chief Leschi and the Medicine Creek Treaty of 1854.
