Monroe — The Monroe City Council on March 10 approved a bundle of routine and land-use actions, including an annexation agreement with TGAP LLC, adoption of the city’s 2026 Capital Improvement list and authorization to buy a small parcel for a possible future community center.
City Recorder Allison Leavitt presented the annexation agreement with TGAP LLC, which City Attorney Eric Johnson had reviewed. Councilmember Ryan Johnson moved to approve the agreement; Councilmember Jason Bagley seconded the motion. The council voted unanimously 5-0 (Bagley, Johnson, Mathie, Payne and Sirrine) to accept the annexation.
The council also adopted the 2026 Capital Improvement list after a brief review. Councilmember Perry Payne moved to approve the list; Councilmember Jason Bagley seconded and the motion passed 5-0.
