The City of Forks City Council approved routine expenditures and scheduled a public hearing on its Comprehensive Hazard Mitigation Plan during a 19‑minute regular meeting Sept. 8.
Council Member Patel moved to approve the meeting agenda as modified to add a Patriot Week proclamation; Council Member Coleman seconded and the motion carried. The council then approved manual check 44787 and related electronic fund transfers totaling $10,127.29, payroll checks 44788 through 44805 totaling $138,304.85, and claim checks 44809 through 44833 and related EFTs totaling $63,431.24; the motion to approve expenditures was made by Council Member Patel, seconded by Council Member Soha, and carried.
Council Member Soha moved to set a public hearing on the Comprehensive Hazard Mitigation Plan for Oct. 13, 2025; Council Member Patel seconded and the motion carried. No vote tallies were recorded in the minutes other than “motion carried.”
The meeting closed after brief staff and council reports; Council Member Soha moved to adjourn, Council Member Coleman seconded and the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:49 p.m.
