The Forks City Council on Sept. 22, 2025 approved Ordinance No. 685 annexing the Decker property following a public hearing with no public comment. The council also approved several consent and action items: minutes from meetings on Aug. 25 and Sept. 8 (one abstention noted), payroll checks totaling $88,810.78, claim checks and EFTs totaling $161,237.63, a manual EFT of $18.00, and the July 2025 Treasurer's Report.
Mayor Tim Fletcher opened the Decker Annexation hearing and closed it after noting no public comment; Councilmember Gingell moved to approve Ordinance No. 685 and the motion carried. The consent agenda items, including minutes and expenditures, were approved on motions recorded in the transcript; the expenditures motion lists payroll checks 44834—1 through 44849 and claim checks 44850—1 through 44889 as included in the totals provided to the Council.
These routine approvals clear the City's immediate record-keeping and financial obligations and finalize the annexation of the Decker property into the city's municipal boundary.
