The Forks City Council adopted Resolution No. 529 on Sept. 22, 2025, formally approving the Capital Facilities Improvement Plan for 2026—1031 following a brief public hearing. Mayor Tim Fletcher opened the hearing and closed it after one public comment.
Lissy Andros, director of the Forks Chamber of Commerce, thanked city staff and volunteers for recent events and during the CIP hearing asked the council to allocate more funding to the ICN building. "I would like to see more money directed toward the ICN building," Andros said during public comment. The hearing record shows no further public testimony and the Council moved to adopt Resolution No. 529.
Adoption of the plan provides the City's formal capital facilities priorities for the next five years and establishes a written framework for potential future budgeting and grant-seeking. The resolution was approved on a council motion; the transcript records the motion to approve Resolution No. 529 and that it carried.
