Council confirms public-works hire, awards contract to replace damaged light pole

Staff said they obtained three bids and that Fulcrum Electric was the low bidder at roughly $4,700. "We do anticipate going for collection," staff said, describing an intent to seek reimbursement from the motorist, though staff cautioned the collection process can be lengthy.
Staff additionally recognized a small on-site fire near the water laboratory earlier in the week and praised several employees who responded before the fire department arrived. The council ended the meeting with routine announcements and an adjournment.
Administrative votes at the meeting included the hire confirmation (motion moved and seconded; approved by voice vote) and passage of Resolution 2025-35 to contract for light-pole replacement (motion moved, seconded and approved by voice vote).
